Habits are the little choices you make and activities you play out each day. Your life today is basically the amount of work you do in a way or just your habits. How fit as a fiddle or rusty you are? A result of your habits. How cheerful or despondent you are? Another result of your habits. How fruitful or ineffective you are? Yet another result of your habits.
No matter at what position you stand today, at what post you’re designated, it is your habits that define you. It is easy to procrastinate and to live a life in your comfort zone. You’ll feel quite free and happy in the beginning. As a matter of fact, procrastination looks totally fine until life hits you, and hits you hard, increases the responsibilities on your shoulder. At that very moment, you wish you would’ve worked hard.
To avoid falling into the trap of procrastination, one must develop healthy and good habits. It is nothing but the work you do for what you wish to achieve, in a disciplined and healthy manner. In any journey, the initial phase is the hardest but we all do start somewhere, right? So better start today, as tomorrow never comes.
Remember the 21/90 rule. Commit to the goal you want for 21 straight days. Once you’ve established that habit, continue to do so for another 90 days and see the change yourself. Your lifestyle will improve significantly and you’ll thrive for more.
After all, it’s our habits that make us who we are.
