We have third decade of the 21st century. A lot has happened, and a lot is going on. Many technological feats have been made in a time period of less than a century. The world has seen a lot, from a computer that occupied an area of 167 sq. meter, to the mobiles that can fit easily in our pockets.
We are now living in the age of internet where almost everything is available to us at just a tap/click. From ordering clothes to food, everything can be done easily while sitting at home. While the internet has eased a lot many things for the humans, it might have also affected the populations mind in a certain way that may not have happened if it wasn’t for social media.
Social media is a great platform to connect with the people you know, or the people you admire, check what activities they’re indulged in (if they post about it) or even share a laugh or two with the funny content that’s uploaded. While there are things uploaded that may help you to lighten up, there is also content which is unauthentic, and is only meant to spread hate.
The people are so admired by their idols that they don’t use their brains to assess what’s right or wrong, they just tend to believe what is said to them (directly or indirectly). This leads to misconceptions and misunderstandings and people establish their prejudices based on the opinion of their idols which eventually leads to disharmony (of mind as well as society).
