S KING aka Samrat is an Indian Rapper, singer, Composer, Arranger, and Lyricist. He has been Awarded By Shri Udit Narayan for his Amazing Rap Style which is going to set a New Benchmark in the Indian hip-hop scene with his upcoming tracks. He is rapping for so many years when there is no word of rap and hip-hop emerged in Bihar. Also associated with rock band name Rust Rewired founded by Shak attack music. He did 100+ music concerts in Patna. He is living currently in Patna and doing things from Patna. His Jai hanuman track touches 3.3 lac views on youtube which is viral. He is very versatile in his art and versatility shows in his tracks. He is noticed by Radio City, who made jingles for the Radio City campaign. Associated to Artistaloud, Hungama and Belive music.
Here is Samrat in a conversation with GOGO Magazine.
1) When did your journey as a musician begin?
Iny school days I started listening to Rap, hip-hop and Rnb where there were no words like these that popped up in Bihar. I use to go to cybercafes and download songs write those on cd and play them in my home .slowly gradually the interest took me into making songs of these kinds. I have no money to buy a mic to record, my Masi helped and supported me and give me money to buy the mic for recordings. After that, I downloaded the already made beat called summer love prod by Shak attack music, recorded mixed and sent it to this beat producer .he very much liked it and called me to worked with him. I have started working on my skills in 2004 and launched one rock fused with rap album Shaant with the founder of Rust Rewired Shak attack music in 2012. After that, I have launched a music video for Zee music company named “zone “Now focusing on my upcoming tracks.
2) Tell me about your stage name S KING.
My real name is Samrat and in my stage name, S stands for Samrat and king itself stands for Raja so the name that came in front of me was S KING. Also, Rapper Raftaar also called me once by the name.
3) Which was your first song?
Sommer love was the song but it is not on internet .
4) Which has been your most memorable achievement?
My most memorable moment has received an award with shak attack music for the best Music from Padamshri Udit Narayan jee. On that day we started thinking that we are on the right path. Also, my parents came in support of my music.
5) Do u have release a song on any label?
Yes, I have released my track Zone on Zee music Company.
6) Who has been your inspiration?
No doubt, Eminem and every rapper dream to meet him. once in the entire life as mine.
7) Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?
I want to go International and want my songs to appear on Billboard and play BBC Asian network.
8) Which is your most preferred genre?
Hip-hop, Rap, RnB, but these days I m trying some different tastes and bring some different vibe in Music to bring versatility. I listen to evry genre to learn something new I even listen to different language songs.
9) Tell us about your latest track.
My latest track is Ek din which spreads love all over and helps each other. This song made with a vision to keep happiness all around, love, spread positivity.
10) Tell us about the Rap culture of Bihar.
When I have started there is no works of hip-hop and rap in Bihar .but slowly gradually Bihar is now coming on the map of India in the field of rap. Earlier there were few listeners but due to gully boy movie the listener started increasing .and now in Bihar there is so many rappers who is doing so good with their art.
11) How was life in quarantine?
Life was quite productive because I have completed almost 30-31 tracks. This 2020 corona period for the artist who wanted to give their time to their art was quite well and hope to see different vibe different sound different feel coming from Bihar. Art take to be perfect.
12) which of song is most played?
Jai hanuman ,first ever track we fuse hanuman chalisa with the story of small town boy .This song is motivational song music done by shak attack music video by abhishek s Kashyap and edited by one and only canfuse .This song have 3.43 lac views on youtube till date .and This is viral too.
13) Do you have made any track for Bihar something related to Bihar?
Ya, the Bihari anthem is on youtube and received 1lac +views which is prod by Vedus r mix by B Sanj sir and shot by the Director Inflict team. Chacha vidhayak hai hamare is the second track that I did for my Bihar prod by Shak attack music. This track sang by the voice of Indian singer Divyansh Verma. I feature Dchief who is a Bhojpuri rapper from here. I have a plan to bring the different languages of Bihar in a track.
