Life is such a rollercoaster ride
Like an unforgiving ocean tide.
A tired mind begging for answers,
A soul consumed by loneliness.
A heart seeking greatness.
A past that haunts,
Is a past that lives on.
A terminal poison,
That sucks the marrow out of life.
We try to fix the past,
But it’s like trying to fix broken glass.
So let’s live in the moment,
Forget what’s broken.
Also, let’s look ahead,
Because the painful past disappears like pencil lead.
So let’s look ahead.
It only leaves traces,
Something that fades.
It can be terrifying,
But it’s also exhilarating.
That’s the feeling of being alive,
A beautiful drive.
You can’t rewrite history,
But you can compose a beautiful story,
A new beginning,
With a glorious ending.
