Here is Kaxi in a conversation with GOGO Magazine.
1) When did your journey as a musician begin?
My journey as a musician began as Kaxi when I was 14 in 2017. I started making music about my feelings. It gave me a way to express myself.

2) Which was your first song?
My first song was titled “Slow still low”.
3) Which has been your most memorable performance?
“The Alfaaz” performance which was in October 2019 was easily my most memorable performance. 150 people in a small packed room, singing my songs and the adrenaline rush it gave me made everything worthwhile.
4) Who has been your inspiration?
XXXtetacion was one of the first artists who inspired me. However, the people who listen to my music are the reason I get up everyday to make music. They’ve been my driving force. since day one.

5) Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?
I would see myself making more music, getting signed to record labels and performing in front of people in the next 5 years and continue to grow as an artist.

6) Which is your most preferred genre?
Underrated bedroom/ chill sad hip hop to listen to would probably be my most preferred genre to listen. When it comes to making music, I would focus more on my present mood instead of solely basing my work on a genre.

7) Tell us about your latest track.
My latest project is with Keagan titled “Ctrl Alt Delete” which releases on 13 November 2020. The entire project was made overnight with Keagan and I hopping on a FaceTime call. I am immensely proud of it and hope that my listeners love it as much as I do. Keagan is one of the most genuine people I know and it has definitely been a treat knowing him on a personal and professional level.
8) How was life in quarantine?
The isolation was difficult for me since I was so used to being around people all the time. I definitely introspected a lot during the quarantine. This helped me understand the people around me and be grateful to the people who have supported me throughout on the good days and on the bad.
