The 23-year old indie musician from Gangtok, Abhibyanjana’s new single ‘Shampoo Bottle’ is an amalgamation of synth-pop with neo-soul. This is Abhibyanjana’s third single and prelude to her upcoming EP this year. “Shampoo Bottle” was released on 7th January 2022. Written when she was 19, Shampoo Bottle reflects a relationship across time and distance. The song was composed, written, and performed by Abhibyanjana and produced by Tapanjyoti Phukan. Interestingly, they have never met in person or on a video call!! It is amazing how they come up with this collaboration without ever having seen each other.

Abhibyanjana is a 23-year-old, indie singer-songwriter from Gangtok and goes by she/her. Primarily a guitarist, she started writing songs as a teenager. It was only in Pune where she was studying in SSLA, headed the college’s music club, and then joined an art platform that she began playing more gigs and received a positive response, helping her overcome her anxieties and to turn to music more seriously. There is no fixed disposition that one can attach to Abhibyanjana’s music. Drawing inspiration from genres like indie-rock, alt-rock, indie-pop, and blues, her music is a galvanization and a reflection of her ever-evolving taste.
