Knowing your skin type is the first and foremost step in your skincare journey. When you know your skin type you can choose the best products suited to your skin resulting in a healthier and even-toned complexion. Every person’s skin is unique but there are 3 main types to help identify where your skin fits in the most. The 3 main types are Oily, Normal/ Combination, and Dry.

The most easiest and popular method to identify is to cleanse your face with water and a gentle/mild face wash first thing in the morning and wait for an hour to evaluate your skin. If your skin feels tight, your skin is most likely dry. If there is noticeable shine on your nose and forehead, your skin is most likely normal/combination. If there is shine on your cheeks in addition to your forehead and nose, you most likely have oily skin. This will help you pick up the right products for your skin and make the most benefit out of it. Happy skincare!
