Sumit Prakash Kataria (Born April 1st, 1992) aka Captive is a rapper and songwriter. In the past few years, Captive has projected from being a Karaoke performer to the prime mover of “Sabali The Band”. In 2015, Captive started his career as a Rapper. Fast forward to 2016, he met Shubham Divakar who was performing at a fashion event. Due to their instant connection, Captive’s dream of having a band came back to life again. In 2017, his daydream ‘Sabali the band’ (Sabali, an African phrase from Damien Marley’s song meaning Patience) was forged into reality with Shubham Divakar and Tejandra Badbade. From their first show at Sin Envy Pride, Pune the band hasn’t looked back.
