VIDYASAGAR HARIHARAN – The Migratory Birds Photographer

Vidyasagar Hariharan was born in Mysore and was brought up in Tamilnadu. After his MBA he started working in the banking sector. He started photography in the year 2016. A visit to one of the wetland lakes in Navi Mumbai where he saw thousands of migratory lesser and greater Flamingos made him fall in love with these pink pilgrims and he started covering this migration with an eye on conservation and the man-bird conflict for habitat. His photographs have been featured in leading publications including The guardian, a book of the Corbett Foundation and he also won a runner-up award in one of the categories in the world mangrove photography awards of 2020. His Instagram handles are @vhariphotos and @flamingosofmumbai.
