MILAN ZYGMUNT – Wildlife and nature photographer from the Czech Republic

Born in 1979 in the Czech Republic where currently still lives Milan Zygmunt nowadays focuses mainly on taking pictures of wildlife especially the bird kingdom. He is keen on landscape, macro, and product photography as well. Besides photography, he is also a passionate traveler.  While traveling for photos he has visited most countries in Europe and Asia, Africa, Central and South America where he returns every year. Regularly organizes photographic tours to exotic places focused on wildlife photography.

His photographs have been published by editors of National Geographic and Animal Planet and also in international journals Photography Masterclass Magazine (USA), Digital Camera Magazine (China), Gucker Natur (Germany), Digital Photographer (UK), SRS Digital Photography Magazine (UK), Myslivost (CZE) and many others. His work was selected for prestigious exhibitions in Germany, Greece, Slovenia, and many other countries. He is one of the leading members of the popular 500px server, where he has ranked among the top photographers thanks to his stunning work. Over 17 million people have already seen his photos there and he can show off with the third-best picture of animals in 2014 (The Top 10 Animal Photos of 2014). He uses exclusively Canon devices for taking photos and Photoshop for photo postproduction.

Endemic to Costa Rica, found only in areas of moderate elevation in tropical and subtropical rainforests.

Cukra climbing Salamander (Bolitoglossa Striatula)

Amazing species of Salamander 🤎 It is found in Costa Rica, Honduras, and Nicaragua. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests.

Annulated Tree Boa (Corallus Annulatus)

It’s a non-venomous boa species found in Central and South America. Taken in Costa Rica.

Fringed leaf frog (Cruziohyla Craspedopus)

It is found in the Amazonian lowlands in Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru, and possibly in Bolivia.


Eyelash viper (Bothriechis Schlegelii)

The Eyelash viper is a venomous pit viper species found in Central and South America. Small and arboreal, this species is characterized by a wide array of color variations, as well as the superciliary scales above the eyes.

Splendid leaf frog (Cruziohyla Calcarifer)

This stunningly beautiful leaf frog can only be found in untouched primary rainforest, where it spends much of its time in the tree canopy.

Bothriechis supraciliaris- blotched palm-pit viper.

is a species of venomous snake in the family Viperidae. The species is endemic to Costa Rica.
