Q. What does your artwork represent?
My artwork represents the aesthetic beauty of feelings, I always try to give power to my art trough strong faces and facial expression, for me the most important thing in an illustration is the character that comes with it, the lack of character is a lack of beauty, therefore I try to push this side and try to give more soul to my paintings.
Q. What inspires you?
My inspirations are many. I can be inspired by music as I can be inspired by poetry, I can be inspired by nature as I can be inspired by philosophers but if I have to choose I would have to say that the visual arts are my biggest inspirations, my favorite artist of all times is James Jean, and I also admire Alphonse Mucha, William Morris, Harry Clarke, Remedios Varo, and many other artists, but If I keep naming them I’m afraid that the list would be way too long!
Q. What does your art mean to you?
For me my art does not try to have a specific meaning, the most important thing that a piece of art can give is a feeling, a sense of recognition, whenever you see it, you must feel represented by it because I intend to transmit those powerful sensations, art for me is a representation of the human condition, and emotions are the most important thing that comes with it.
