Mercedes A-class Sedan or the A-class Limousine is what they call it, was first revealed in India at auto expo 2020 in February. However, only the AMG variant of the A-Class Limousine was showcased at the auto expo but don’t you worry it also comes in no-AMG variants as well. Its booking is open from the day it debuted.
Just like all the other cars A-class limousine launch was rescheduled by a few months due to pandemic and lockdown.
Exterior

The AMG variant of the A-Class comes with an exceptional front profile featuring a striking AMG grille, sort of reversed high performance LED headlamps, a massive Mercedes-Benz logo in the center, and small one on the hood as standard, massive air vents on the bottom.
On the side profile, it provides progressive lines near the window glass and one at the bottom, panoramic sliding sunroof and 17-inch alloy wheels.

The rear starts with a slight roof slope giving it a coupe look, spoiler on the boot, reversing camera, captivating tail lights, dual exhaust.
Interior

The interior of AMG comes with ATICO man-made leather black with red stitching on the seats and red stitching on the wheel as well. The dashboard has a layered like structure which features carbon fibre and brushed aluminium, a massively wide single touchscreen system separated for infotainment and instrument cluster, Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) connected technology, wireless charging, a multifunctional steering wheel, multi-colour ambient lighting, turbine-style AC vent, driver-assistive technology, thermotronic 2-zone automatic climate control, pre-safe safety system, memory functions with electrically adjustable seats, cruise control, touchpad without controller and host of other features.

Rear seat’s seat base is quite low which directly affects the thigh support, leg room is quite sufficient, head room is also sufficient even for above average height person.
Performance
There will be a wide range of variants available globally but in India will likely to have
A180D which offers 1.5-litre diesel engine producing 116 PS and 260 Nm torque.
A200 which comes with 1.3-litre petrol engine producing 163 PS and 250 Nm torque.
Both are available with a 6-speed manual and 7-speed automatic transmissions internationally.
The 35 4Matic AMG variant which was showcased at auto expo may launch at later date. The AMG variant will offer a 2.0-litre petrol engine that produces 306 PS and 400 Nm of torque. It will have a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and an AWD system, both performance-tuned.
The car will rival BMW 2-Series Gran Coupe and 2021 Audi A3 Sedan and will be priced from INR 30-35 (ex-showroom) range.
