BMW 2-Series Gran Coupe was first revealed at LA auto show in 2019. It rivals Mercedes CLA Coupe but in India, it will compete with Mercedes A-Class Limousine. The Bavaria carmakers were expected to launch their new entry-level model in India in August but due to pandemic and lockdown, all of the productions were halted resulting in a delay of the launch. Now the car is expected to launch near the festive season when people are very much likely to buy new cars. The BMW 2-Series Gran Coupe will become the least expensive sedan in India pricing near Rupees 32 to 39 lakhs (ex-showroom).

Exterior

The BMW 2-Series front profile features a decent-sized chrome framed high-gloss black kidney struts kidney grille with sleek and stylish headlamps on both ends followed by an aggressive bumper section with horizontal fog lamps on both ends.

The side profile features attractive 17-inch alloy wheels with 18-inch optional, a sloping roofline giving it a coupe look, sunroof, frameless doors, power-folding heated side mirrors and a shark fin antenna.

The rear section features wide and sleek wraparound tail lights, boot-integrated spoiler, bold rear bumper and dual exhaust outlets.
Interior


The major interior features BMW 2-series provide are 10.25-inch infotainment system sitting on top of the dashboard slightly tilted towards driver, a 10.25-inch instrument cluster behind the steering wheel, 9.2-inch full-color heads-up projection, drive modes, BMW live cockpit professional, 16-speaker Harman Kardon surround sound, wireless charging and ambient lights.
It offers a 15.3 cubic meter of boot space.

Performance
The BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe is accessible all around the world in five model variations, to be specific 218i, 218d, 228i xDrive, 220d and M235i xDrive.
