Fast-food chains are dear to the many food enthusiasts around our country. Foreign or native, we hop on the bandwagon when it comes to the latest food trends. Indians have been relishing different cuisines served at the most popular representative restaurants from around the world. Dominos for the classic Italian pizza, burger king for the most American style burgers, taco bell for your favorite Mexican tacos.

Although we host most of the widely known chain restaurants, there are way too many we still need.

Here are some of the chain restaurants my Indian peers must’ve not heard about, taking the world by storm, and we need India to be a part of it.

1. Jollibee

When I tell you Filipino food is banging, you heard me! Jollibee is a Filipino multinational chain of fast-food restaurants. Currently, there are about 1500 outlets of Jollibee worldwide. Among the establishment, the most popular is their jolly spaghetti, which is Filipino-style sweet spaghetti,  along with their fried chicken, house hamburger, and their signature mango peach pie. Jollibee has received all the love from every food vlogger/reviewer out there. Huge nod for Jollibee in India.

2. Chick-fil-A

Dare I say there are other food chains people love if not more, but as much as KFC. Chick-fil-A was founded back in 1946 and is most popular for its chicken sandwich and its signature waffle potato fries. No hate to KFC but It’s about time we explore new grounds.

3. Gong Cha

The netizens might have heard about the very famous bubble tea or Boba. It’s literally everywhere but here. There are different chain companies selling boba among which Gong cha is the most renowned because of its amazing quality and the innovative varieties of tea. Gong cha is a tea drink franchise founded in 2006 in Taiwan. For those wondering what makes boba special, it most commonly consists of tea accompanied by chewy tapioca pearls.

4. Ichiran ramen

The Korean ramen brand ‘Samyang’ currently happens to rule the world of instant ramen, but many ramen connoisseurs’ on youtube claim Ichiran ramen to be the best of all time.  Ichiran ramen is a Japanese food service business specializing in “Tonkotsu ramen”. After three decades of serving ramen from a single location, the first concept store opened in 1993. Outside of Japan Ichiran has restaurants in Hong Kong, Taipei, and New York.

5.  Cheesecake factory

A family-friendly place, cheesecake factory is an American restaurant company and distributor of cheesecakes based in the united states.

Now the main part, FOOD. Their menu is HUGEEEEE.  Probably the reason for this restaurant to be family-friendly is because they have something for everyone. Their dining menu includes steaks, chops, burgers, chicken, seafood, sandwiches, pasta, soups, and salads in various cuisines, in addition to their free breadsticks which is a huge winner. The dessert menu offers 35 cheesecake flavors in addition to cakes, milkshakes, and much more. The cheesecake factory for foodies is like a kid in Yosemite. There has to be one in India.

6. Chipotle

Burrito, burrito bowl, quesadilla, tacos, nachos. Chipotle screams authentic Mexican.  Chipotle Mexican grill,  simply called chipotle is an American chain of fast-casual restaurants. We need something else other than taco bell to compare in terms of authentic Mexican food. Chipotle offers genuine Mexican foods that are customizable while taco bell is more of a tex-mex take that is not customizable.

7. Shake Shack

Known for its amazing burgers and shakes, shake shack is easily one of the most beloved fast-food chains in America. It is also home to the famous ‘ shack burger’  which they chose to pair with pillowy potato buns buttered to perfection. Their menu ranges from fries, chicken sandwiches, hotdogs, milkshakes, classic hamburgers, and ice creams, heck they even have treats for your dogs if you care with their special dog food menu which in my opinion is amazing.

Honorable mentions – popeyes chicken, In n out, papa john’s, sonic, Tim Horton’s.
