Mercedes-Benz India will dispatch the AMG GLE 53 4Matic+ Coupe in the nation on September 23. The appointments for the new Mercedes-AMG GLE 53 4Matic+ Coupe, which will be the first-ever AMG 53-arrangement model in Quite a while, will begin on September 8. The AMG GLE 53 4Matic+ Coupe follows the presentation of the new Mercedes-Benz GLS in June 2020. The soul of the AMG GLE 53 Coupe is apparent in its new, more muscular body. The Mercedes-AMG GLE 53 Coupe will feature a striking coupe silhouette, a ‘Panamericana’ AMG grille with vertical supports, a solid looking etched cap, enormous air dams, and smooth headlights.  

On the sides, the vehicle will be flanked by passed out B-columns, ORVMs, side-steppers, and 20-inch alloy wheels.

The back segment will highlight wrap-around LED taillights, striking diffuser and a trim strip in silver chrome, special AMG exhaust system with two round twin tailpipe trim elements in high-gloss chrome.


The GLE 53 Coupe will offer an exceptional lodge with a panoramic sunroof, electric sun blinds, a head-up show, a Burmester sound system, aluminium shift paddles, an AMG performance steering wheel, touch screen buttons integrated on steering wheel, Voice control which activates by saying “Hey Mercedes”. AMG seats in black ARTICO man-made leather / DINAMICA microfibre provide optimum lateral support and have an AMG-specific pattern layout with “AMG” badges in the front backrests.

The dash will be integrated with widescreen split into a 12.3-inch virtual instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with MBUX technology support.

For safety, it will provide 9 airbags, self-ruling crisis slowing down, and a 360-degree camera.

Driving Modes:

Slippery: optimised for slippery road conditions, with reduced power and a flat torque curve for a driving impression oriented toward stability.

Sand: sporty setup for the best possible grip and steer ability on sandy slopes and in desert dunes.

Trail: safe driving at maximum performance on soft, muddy or slippery ground.

Comfort: comfortable and fuel-efficient driving, e.g. thanks to early upshifts. Suspension and steering are set up for an emphasis on comfort.

Individual: individual adjustment of the drive system, transmission, AMG DYNAMICS, suspension and exhaust system.

Sport: sporty characteristics thanks to a more swift response to the driver’s acceleration input, shorter gearshift times, earlier downshifts and significantly more emotive gearshifts owing to double de-clutching. A more unique suspension and steering arrangement.

Sport+: extremely sporty characteristics thanks to an even more agile throttle response, increased acoustic emphasis on double de-clutching during downshifts as well as selective torque control on upshifts with cylinder suppression for optimal shift times. Increased idle speed for faster pulling away. An even more dynamic setup for suspension, steering and drivetrain.


The Mercedes-Benz GLE 53 AMG coupe will come with a 3.0-litre, twin-turbo, BS6 petrol engine which produces a total of 435 hp and 520 Nm of torque. It comes paired with a mild-hybrid system that offers an on-demand 22 hp and 250 Nm of torque. The engine transmission is handled by a 9-speed automatic gearbox and a 4Matic+ all-wheel-drive system. The car can go from 0-100km/h in 5.3 seconds and clock a top speed of 250 km/h.

It comes with stock 20-inch light-alloy wheels with AMG lettering. However, Mercedes provide six variants starting from 20 to 22-inches on request.

The Mercedes-Benz GLE 53 AMG 4Matic+ is expected to be around Rs. 1.25 crore (ex-showroom). This car will compete with Porsche Cayenne coupe, BMW X6 and Audi Q8.
