Kia has officially initiated bookings of the upcoming Sonet sub-compact SUV ahead of its launch. Kia Sonet is expected to launch on September 02, 2020. Kia Sonet was first showcased in the concept form at Auto Expo 2020 and its production version was showcased on August 07, 2020. Kia Sonet can be booked for a token amount of Rs.25000. Bookings can be done either online or at authorized Kia Motors dealerships. Kia is offering a total of six variants which consist of Tech line and GT line: THE, HTK, HTK+, HTX, HTX+, and GTX+.
Exterior
From the front, Sonet introduces Black high glossy Tiger nose grills coupled with Crown jewel LED headlamps and heartbeat LED DRL with integrated indicators. Following DRL’s, it provides a radiator Chrome grille with a diamond knurling pattern and front bumper with a colour accent.
In the side profile, it offers Chrome outside door handles and side mirrors with led indicators. It provides R16 crystal cut alloys and caliper brakes on the front wheel with a colour accent.
On top, it provides electric sunroof, floating type roof rails and shark fin antenna.
Rear provides, rear center garnish – reflector connected type, Heartbeat LED tail lamps, rear bumper with dual muffler design and color accent.
Interior
The interior of Sonet comes with a 10.25 inch touchscreen infotainment system, BOSE 7-speaker audio system, UVO connected car tech, wireless phone charging with the cooling system, LED sound mood lighting, electric sunroof, ventilated front seats, driving modes.
Safety
Kia Sonet has several safety features like six airbags, ABS with EBD, front and rear parking sensors with a rearview camera, ESC, hill start assist and brake assist.
Under The Hood
The Sonet will be fueled by the 1.2-liter normally suctioned petrol, 1.0-liter turbo-petrol and 1.5-liter diesel motors. The fundamental feature however is that the diesel motor will be offered with a legitimate 6-speed torque converter automatic.

The kia Sonet will be available at a price range of Rs. 7 lakh – 12.50 lakh (ex-showroom).
This car will rival the likes of Hyundai Venue, Tata nexon, Ford EcoSport, Mahindra XUV300 and Maruti Suzuzki Vitara Brezza.
