The bigger picture

Never have I ever,
Stopped and smelled the flowers,
Without having the guilt of missing something else,

Never have I ever,
Felt the breeze on my face,
Without the worry of something I didn’t do,

Never have I ever,
Looked at birds scaling the skies,
Without pitying myself.

As far as the memory goes,
I have never been still,
Always going somewhere,
Always late for everywhere.

Sometimes stuck in the middle of nowhere,
Sometimes falling into an abyss,
Sometimes, wondering, If I am the only one,

Maybe, I should have,
Maybe, I will,

There is a bigger picture,
Right in front of me
But I can’t see it,
Unless I stop,
And smell the roses,
Unless I feel the breeze on my face,
Unless I admire those who fly!
