I want to keep the moment of flower’s triumph and greatness on the canvases as long as it’s possible. My paintings are about the need to live here and now – while we flourish, without postponing life for later…
Q. What inspires you?
I love to paint flowers, because they are real and honest.
Q. What does your art mean to you?
My Art is me. It’s something deep from childhood. The theme of flowers is not accidental for me. My grandmother Lyudmila, as far as I remember, was a skilled florist (she painted canvases with dried flowers), participated in art exhibitions, although she worked as a microbiologist. As a child, me and my brother often collected “materials” for her paintings in forests and meadows. Therefore, since childhood, I am well versed in flowers and plants. I even have a degree in floristry.
