Aayushi Patil is a Pune based Singer-Songwriter and have been in the Pune Music Scene for the past 4 years. While pursuing Architecture as a profession, she found music to be her passion, and since then, everything she sang or scrawled, came from within.
She released her Debut Single in February 2020 called ” Tu hai Yahi”. This song illustrates the emotion of affinity. When we lose someone “special” in our lives, we always try to seek answers to the roller-coaster of emotions we go through and the only answer we receive is that special one”.

Here is Aayushi Patil in a conversation with GOGO Magazine.
1) When did your journey as a musician begin?
The journey of becoming a musician commenced four years back when I sang “Iktara” (a song from the movie, Wake Up Sid) for the first time in front of 500 people at my College Cultural Fest. People loved my voice and guitar skills and after that night, I knew I wanted to do more of music.

2) Which has been your debut song?
My Debut Song is called “Tu Hai Yahi”
3) What has been the story behind your first song?
“Tu Hai Yahi” talks about the despondency of losing someone but at the same time, feeling their presence around you. The idea just popped in my head and I scrawled it down on a piece of paper in 2018. While cleaning my room later, I found this piece of paper and decided to make this song and put it out!

4) How much have social networks helped you in creating your audience?
I believe all that I am today is because people have shown immense love and support towards me on various social platforms especially Instagram. Initially, I used to sing covers on my Instagram live sessions but later when I started singing my originals on the same, People genuinely loved and supported my music and that’s how I got the courage to release my music.

5) How do you manage the investment for your music productions?
Most of my money investment for the music production comes from the gigs I do across the city.

6) Who has been your inspiration?
I think everything around me inspires me to create music. To name some of the artists, the list will surely include Ed Sheeran, Ankur Tewari, Nikhil D’Souza, and John Mayer.

7) Where do you see yourself in the next 10 years?
I am not the kind of person who thinks beyond time. I never thought I would be doing Music 10 years back! So whatever comes to me, I prefer to go with the flow and try to make the best out of the given opportunity.

8) How’s life as an architect?
Honestly, life as an Architect is pretty tough as you don’t get time for your hobbies but I also believe that if you are passionate about something in your life, you will always find a way to do it no matter what. I used to always be in a position to chose either music or architecture but I think I always found a way to maintain a balance between both of them.
9) Which is your most preferred genre?
I listen to a variety of music right from Classical to Country music. Indie is my most preferred genre.
10) How was life in quarantine?
Honestly, I thought life would be very difficult during the pandemic as gigs were terminated and there was no source of alternate income. But this quarantine came to me like an opportunity where I got ample time to work on my music. I started working on my unfinished originals amongst which, one Single will be released in September.
