I think we were made
You and them,
Not of the hate we share but of the love we are trying to forget,
It’s a trick you see,
I remember a part of a part,
Only to fix it as I please
And doesn’t always look neat
I smell memories
Hanging in the air,
Like a chandelier of rust,
And I bet you hear old lost friend humming in the streets,
And they see ghosts of the time you didn’t click pictures for.
And I know it’s dangerous
To start a poem by I think,
But it’s not a safe verse,
We are trying to remember here,
Things we are trying to forget.
