Q. What Does Your Artwork Represent?
My artwork represents the African diaspora. I try and tell stories that show that we are not a monolithic group, but full of depth and cultural diversity.
Q. What inspires you?
The African identity inspires me a lot. It means different things to so many people, you can never exhaust exploring that theme.
Q. What Does Your Art Mean to You?
As cliché as this sounds, art is life to me. Creating gives me a sense of peace and wholeness. It’s more than a hobby for me.
