Dreaming in my own world – @riddhi_jiotode

Q. What does your artwork represent?

My artwork usually (not always) has some story (in my mind) to tell, which I express, and if someone I know asks “what’s it about?” I might answer, but if a stranger asks, I will ask that person what do they think is happening. My story, or other things as I see them, are often the subject…or they’re related to something in life that I like/love.

Q. What inspires you?

Art is inspiring because it can provide us with imaginative links to parts of ourselves which might otherwise be inaccessible. In other words watching an artist I admire work on a piece from start to finish is what inspires me the most.

Q. What does your art mean to you?

Art, to me, is any work that gives one a feeling of aesthetic pleasure, transporting one out of the present moment and into an emotional world that is defined by one’s personal associations with the work.I t feels natural to experience joy, pleasure shivers down the spine, awe in sight of grandiose artworks, or sometimes even negative emotions of fear, anger or disgust in front of visually challenging sight.
