BJP, resistance pioneers fight over ‘non-neighborhood’ electors at EC’s all-party meet

JAMMU: Heated contentions between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and resistance pioneers over the consideration of “non-local people” in the citizen list were seen during an all-party meeting led by Jammu and Kashmir boss discretionary official Hirdesh Kumar here over the extraordinary synopsis correction (SSR) of constituent rolls.

Another PDP pioneer blamed BJP for playing spoilsport in the gathering.

“They seized the gathering. There was no explanation for 2.5 million citizens,” he said.

Ikkjutt Party president advocate Ankur Sharma had an alternate take.
