Q. Why you made the artwork?
Throughout the Coronavirus pandemic, the UK has been in a state of lockdown. One of the things that helped me to get through this with my sanity intact was art, the other was making my garden a great place for pollinating insects. This painting represents the colors of the plants and flowers that I planted in order to achieve this.
Q. How you made the artwork?
Over the course of a couple of weeks, I painted this using acrylics on a 24 x 32in box canvas. I can only paint in the evenings as I work in customer services throughout the day.
Q. What inspires you to be an artist?
Inspiration can come from anywhere. Although it may not be immediately obvious, I take a lot of inspiration from heavy metal music. My paintings are bold and loud much like the music I enjoy most. I also like to spend a lot of time in and observing nature which is where I draw a lot of color and shape choices from.
