Q. What does your artwork represent?

My subjects are diverse ranging from landscape, urbanscape and occasionally abstract. Each represents my fabrication of what my mind, whether I paint plein air, from photographs or purely imagination. In my painting I invite you to my space – a space that provokes openness, freedom, serenity and exploration.

Q. What inspires you?

Anything can inspire me. In fact I don’t wait to get inspired. I keep looking for them.

Q. What does your art mean to you?

Painting has always been a part of my soul since I was young. The time spent in putting colors on substrate and dancing across has never been so addictive akin to a child with chocolate. Is all about me and my mind.

In the beginning I always thought art was entirely about subject matter, content, composition and etcetera. Yes it’s still academically important, but art nowadays goes beyond that. At a later stage, I realised that’s too much for me. I found my love inclined to the medium itself. Watercolor is truly magical – unpredictable yet simple medium. It just speaks so much about myself.
