McLeodganj is also known as Little Lhasa of India is popular for its colorful street walks and cafe culture along with beautiful monasteries. It is also home to His Holiness The Dalai Lama and Tibetan Government in exile. This heavenly place is surrounded by a jaw-dropping and serene Dhauladhar snow-covered mountain range. McLeodganj is completely a different world on its own, the great culture and hospitality, the humble people of Mcleodganj, homely cafes, and small shops on the colorful streets reflect the identity of Mcleodganj. These pictures were taken during my regular visits to the place during my 4 years course of Bachelors study In Communication Design from NIFT (National Institute of Fashion Technology), Kangra which is not very far from Mcleodganj.
There’s something about the place and people that leave you with inner peace and I’ve tried to capture the essence of the same by observing people having their normal daily lives around the colorful streets of the town. Over the years, the place has been attracting more and more people around the world, which is good but it also makes the mountains vulnerable, so it’s our duty to travel responsibly and keep these places clean and beautiful.
