The MG Hector was one of the enormous achievements in 2019 and now MG is hoping to expand on that accomplishment with another Hector. The MG Hector plus was first revealed at auto expo 2020. How can you say that car is MG hector plus? Well, the noticeable difference is in the front profile of the SUV. The Grill in the car is larger as compared to the Hector and also the headlamps have a different design. It gives more aggressive looks compared to the Hector. Hector plus has re-defined bumpers which makes a slight 65mm difference in the dimensions. Although the wheelbase is the same as the Hector.

No changes in the Steering wheel, same material same design as well. Tilt and telescopic adjustments of the steering wheel are provided.
It is so much similar to hector that doesn’t mean it lacks the feature. Hector was loaded with so is this vehicle.

Mid row

What makes this car a plus is a mid-row. This row has changed a lot. The mid-row is comprised of Captain Seats which can recline to some good angles. However, seats don’t have that much leg room which makes them less comfortable. Apart from that, the mid-row is quite spacious. Legroom is just so much but the left seat has a little discomfort as the lithium-ion battery under the front left seat covers the space that means you can’t stretch legs when sitting in mid-left seat. Hand rests are not long enough to feel comfortable for a regular size person. Doesn’t provide much room for passengers to pass to the third row.
Third row
The third row always compromises comfort in exchange for extra passenger seats. The rear seats neither provide much leg room nor thigh support which makes them a big no for long journeys (at-least for regular size person). However, teenagers can fit in but only for a short journey. The rear row is packed with AC vents, Fan control feature, 2A USB slot (No fast charging) and cup holders as well. Just in case you want more boot space in the car, you can fold the rear seats.

The Plus offers 155 litres of boot space with all three rows in use that increases to 530 litres when the third row is folded down. More importantly, boot can be opened by left slide leg gesture under the rear bumper.
In terms of safety, the Plus is equipped with dual front airbags, front and rear parking sensors, rear parking camera, ISOFIX child seat anchors, traction control and electronic stability control. The top-spec variant gets six airbags, heated ORVMs and auto headlamps as well.
Performance
As a six-seater form of the standard Hector, the Plus offers similar motors: a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol which additionally gets the alternative of a 48V mild-hybrid system and a 2.0-litre diesel. The 170PS/350Nm diesel is just offered with a 6-speed manual and is accessible overall variations of the Hector Plus. In the interim, the 143PS/250Nm turbo-petroleum motor gets a decision of 6-speed manual and a 6-speed double grasp programmed while the mellow half breed variation just accompanies a 6-speed manual and is constrained to the top-spec Hector Plus.
