Q. What does your artwork represent?

My work represents a contemporary mix of something current and something retro. I have always loved experimenting with styles, and the lockdown gave me an opportunity to explore even more and create something that has a voice of its own. The artworks presented here are from my “design fights COVID” series. I wanted to make something that speaks for itself, raises awareness, and make sure that people who relate to it are inspired. This has been a new starting point for me, and I believe there is so much more for me to explore and contribute.

Q. What inspires you?

I take cues from what’s going on, current issues, or any particular character that really struck a chord with me. I generally try to merge different elements and topics to create a story. Apart from this, I also get inspired by strong and independent women/ men who are here to leave a mark. I generally have a muse before I start drawing, it helps me to have a more integrated connection with what I am creating.

Q. What does your art mean to you?

Art for me is basically an outlet of my own mind and how I perceive things. It helps me escape into this world of my own where everything is as I want it to be. That’s exactly what I try to bring out bit by bit in each piece. Art is a form of communication and has so much power. I try incorporating it whenever I can to spread awareness. I wish to use it to its full potential someday.
