Covid-19 India Update
India reported 3,11,170 new cases in the last 24 hours, taking the general count to 2.46 crore. As many as 4,077 deaths were reported across the nation. The death toll now stands at 2,70,284, while dynamic cases remain at 26.18 lakh. India is the worst affected nation from the second wave of the virus.
Though the course of vaccination is on its way, it is quite slow and vaccines are in a shortage. And what’s challenging is the number of people that reside in India. Almost 18 crores of total doses have been given and yet almost 3% of the population is fully vaccinated.
With the world still fighting with covid and the vaccination still in process (4.4% of the world being vaccinated), and the new variant being even more fatal, it is high time that we must stay safe and take every precaution that’s necessary.
