Arihaan Garg is what we call a super kid. He is just 6 years old and has been practicing martial arts exercises for a long time. The six-year-old is a gymnast and swimmer and looks up to the actor Vidyut Jamwal for his fitness regimen. The little one can also perform challenging squats and push-ups just like the action hero he admires. Also, the boy can play a wonderful piano too.


Here is Arihaan Garg in a conversation with GOGO Magazine.

1) How did your journey begin?

It all started when I was 4 years old. My dad initiated my journey. We started with small physical activities like running, playing outdoor, 10 reps of pushups, shoulder touches, then gradually with time, practice and a daily dose of my fitness routine, the stamina got built up, along with a lot of other activities that I do.

2) How do you manage practising everything, from playing a piano to doing work-out? What’s your schedule?

My dad has got my back and he manages my schedule. I start my day at 4:45 AM in the morning and go to my gymnastics class at 6 AM. Here I practice for one and half to two hours. Then after getting back home I work-out for an hour. Post that I have my breakfast to revive my energy. Then I take shower and get my massage done and get ready for my online classes. Post that I have my lunch around 1:30 PM, and do some studies and then sleep for 2 hours. 

Then I have some fruits, have my playtime. Practice music in my music class on alternate days, do some left-hand writing practice. Then I have my dinner by 7 PM, post which I play, read some books with family. And then I sleep by 9:30-10 PM. I always eat healthy and homemade food. Everything that I like is made at home. To stay healthy and fit we should not eat JUNK.

3) Among everything that you do, what’s your favorite activity?

Playing blocks/Legos.

4) Are you equally interested in academics?

Yes!

5) What more skills would you like to add to yourself?

 Learning is a continuous process and it should never stop. There are many skills that I want to add to myself staring from Martial Arts, Healing techniques, dance, coding, want to learn many languages…. the list is endless!

6) Being such a hard-working, and a prodigious kid, what do you aspire to become as of now?

I want to become a scientist and an athlete.

7) Who is your inspiration?

My father is my inspiration and my motivator. He tells and shows me stories of a lot of people who have achieved a lot of things in life. People who have worked so hard. They have failed yet they dint stop trying and got up even stronger. I like Tiger Shroff and Vidyut Jammwal. 

Vidyut Jammwal had sent me goodies on my birthday, it was a “#itrainlikeVidyutJammwal” t-shirts. He has also mentioned about me in an article in Mid-day. All of this appreciation and support of my family motivates and keeps me going.

8) Where do you see yourself in next 10 years?

Well, I see myself as an Upcoming face in the world of fitness and be a good athlete.

9) How was the life in quarantine?

Before quarantine, I used to go for my swimming, basketball and skating classes, along with other activities. But due to lockdown, we could not go out and do all these activities. My father ensured that nothing stops my learning or my fitness routine, so we started to do a lot of more things at home. Brought some very nice equipment to enhance my stamina, strength like pegboards, ropes, abs wheels etc. Also, indulged myself in so many other playful yet mindful activities like solving the Rubik cube, now I can solve a 3*3 Rubik in minutes. Other activities like writing with left and right both hands and so much more.
